Disclaimer: Not Certified As A Specialist

Providing dental treatment to children requires special effort and a unique approach. Children tend to make a fuss when they have to visit the dentist or sit in the dental chair. Hence, our dentists at SmileHere Family Dental make sure children feel comfortable and reassured when they visit us for treatment by taking a friendly and compassionate approach.

Our Pediatric Dentistry Services

Along with other dental specialties, our team also offers services dedicated to children, such as:

Dental Sealants

Sealants are acrylic surface applicants placed on the occlusal grooves of the molars and premolars. They are mainly intended to cover the minute grooves fully, thus keeping microbes and food residue from getting deposited in them. Sealants significantly reduce the risk of developing cavities.

Fillings

Dental fillings are used to restore teeth affected by cavities. The bacteria in the plaque adhered to the teeth can produce acids and erode the enamel, thus decaying the tissues of the teeth. Fillings are usually made from tooth-colored material so that they are unnoticeable.

Orthodontics

Getting misaligned teeth diagnosed and treated early often provides better results that last a lifetime. Failing to get orthodontic treatment at the right time can affect oral aesthetics and functionality. We check your children twice a year at their cleaning appointments for the best timing for treatments. We offer treatments with dental braces, expanders, functional appliances, or clear aligners such as ClearCorrect to treat various misalignment or malocclusion issues.

Cleaning

Tartar deposits on the teeth are the leading cause of gum disease and cavities. We provide oral cleaning services to help get rid of these microbial accumulations. Ideally, you should bring your child for a routine consultation once every six months, during which we will carry out an oral cleaning and a thorough diagnosis of their oral issues.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride is a mineral present in the teeth, which improves their resistance to tooth decay. Ideally, we receive the fluoride our teeth need to stay strong from drinking water and the toothpaste we use. But, when the teeth seem weak and susceptible to cavities, we will recommend fluoride treatment to strengthen them. For this treatment, we apply a fluoride-rich topical varnish onto the teeth and allow the mineral to penetrate the enamel gradually.

Monitoring Teeth and Jawbone Development

Monitoring the replacement of baby teeth with permanent ones is crucial for maintaining a well-aligned smile. Monitoring the jawbone development is crucial for getting the best orthodontic treatment results for oral aesthetics and functionality. Our dentists are experienced in monitoring teeth and jawbone development and can ensure your child’s teeth grow as expected without any complications.
